Passion. Experience. Diligence.

I'm Melissa Kakuk, a California-licensed Professional Fiduciary (CLPF #1663) and National Certified Guardian (NCG #16646), serving families across Southern California and the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. My husband and I both grew up in the Midwest before life eventually brought us west. Today we make our home in Orange County, where his children were born and raised and where we've built the life we share. Our families never strayed far from where they started. His remain in Michigan, and mine are in Texas. Those Texas roots are a real part of why serving families across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex means as much to me as serving my neighbors here in Southern California. Both places, and the people in them, are close to my heart. I came to fiduciary work through more than two decades spent helping families navigate the senior-care landscape; coordinating in-home support, easing care transitions, and standing beside families during some of the most vulnerable chapters of their lives. That experience shapes how I serve today: I understand not just the financial and legal mechanics of the work, but the human realities behind it — the worry, the family dynamics, and the dignity that must be protected at every step.

I hold an Executive MBA (from Texas Women’s University) and volunteer as a Community Educator with the Alzheimer's Association, helping families recognize and respond to cognitive decline. I'm a member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC), and I work collaboratively — alongside your attorney, accountant, and financial advisor, never in place of them.

I've always believed that if you're not helping someone, you're wasting your time. That conviction is the foundation of everything I do. My role is to bring order, transparency, and steadiness to situations that feel anything but — so your family can rest knowing their affairs are being managed with meticulous care and unwavering accountability. Whether your family is in Southern California or the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, I'd be honored to talk with you about how I can help.
